From the Author – Beverley Unwin

Over the years, I have held classes and taught many sewing enthusiasts how to free-stitch embroider.

I’d like you to think of this book as if we are sitting at a table with our sewing machines, talking and working on a one to one basis.

We start with the very basic techniques of free-stitching embroidery and work towards more advanced stitching.

Your embroidery can be as small as an initial on a pocket or as large as an embroidered quilt.

Free-stitching embroidery is creative, fun and easy to do as well as being exciting when you see the finished results. You can’t wait to set yourself the next challenge.

My students never cease to amaze me with their ideas and creativity, and we are still learning together.

“You will never, never know…..if you don’t start stitching”.

To paraphrase a well known saying.
